I came to try this cuz I recently have done music for an indie videogame about a penguin, too. That's pretty funny, it seems that penguins are becoming the new fashion in gaming.
Overall I liked the game, I think the graphic style is pretty nice and the penguin's cries are so nice and tender. The music is good, but I think it doesn't match at all with the graphic, concept and gameplay style.
I also had some problems with jumping, the penguin slips way too much, I couldn't do it through those small mountain-jumping part at level 2.
Anyway it's a good job, still more work to do, I think

Nope... I didn't understand anything, sorry.

Really interesting... This remind me those Pokemon game puzzles, were you needed to slide through iced paths... I think you were kind of inspired by those paths... Anyway, this will help me to train my mental agility to solve such puzzles quicker... Great one!

I like the graphic style... But, I don't like the game at all... I think the ship moves too slow, and it's hard to control... Honestly, I got bored, but the idea is good!... Try to give it some more dynamism and you will get a great game!... Keep the good work

Hey, thanks for the fair opinion. There is an upgrade for increasing the ship speed. It can move faster than at the beginning.

Really good and ingenious!... Liked it so much, it really starts to turn difficult... I spent several time playing this.
Excellent job!

Ok... This was a really weird game, but actually, I liked your idea... I think it was a really original concept.
The game started warning me about the difficulty that will be increasing as I get over the levels, but the levels were really easy... Until I reached a level that is just imposible to clear.... I think it's a little bit hard to move the cursor ball... It sometimes get to be too slow to avoid the whole swarm of black balls, and the just end up swallowing you...

Anyway, great game!... Maybe it's small, and has not the best graphics, but the good idea is the important thing when making games.
Keep the good work.

Thanks a lot for the first review :).
I really appreciate your remarks and will take them in consideration, if I make a new version some day. As for the difficulty everyone fits something else - as a response from testers, I was told that it is more or less balanced and the first levels are good for instruction. But really BIG thanks to you!

I think this is just what Newgrounds needed! A classic chess game. Very good idea, and very well done. There's nothing else I can say, but thank you! ^.^

LONG LIVE TO NEWGROUNDS!

THE BEST FUCKING PORTAL FOR FLASH ARTIST AND ALTERNATIVE SELF MUSICIANS IN THE WHOLE WORLD!!! WE ARE ALL AGAINST THIS FUCKING SOPA!!!

VIVA NEWGROUNDS FOREVER.

Until the end!

I was waiting to finish the game to make a review upon this fantastic and epic game...
Yes, I must agree with some of you, this game is quite difficult, but it is not impossible, in fact, I like the hardness of it, that gives some taste to the game... It will be boring if the game was so easy. I enjoyed a lot the last stage, it was really epic and I had to have a really good strategy and keep my eye on screen to win... I liked too the fact that the evil character challenges you. I enjoyed every minute of this game.
The graphic style is also the best I haver ever seen in a game, is just quite simple, but perfect!!! Not always you have to do the super graphics, or to spend a lot of time or money to get great things... Wonders are inside simple things, and great imagination.
Great music too. I hope you publish some kind of soundtrack, because I really liked the music. It really keep you inside the game. A very epic music for a very very epic game.
The play mode is also very easy and understandable! I got no issues in how to play it, and I liked a lot the building upgrade thing... My favorite one was the Big Bertha!! Ohhh my God! Holy shit of power!!!! I managed to have 3 f them to beat the last stage.
I'll be looking forward for a second part, a sequel or something like that.
Really, really, thank you so much for this epicness.
